On April 16, 2024 a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq claimed its members hacked a Mexican government website and provided a link to download the hacked data. The channel wrote that it will hack a coming state election in Mexico and that Russia will deal with hacking the U.S. elections.
