Houthi Political Bureau Calls For Further Maritime Escalation To Confront "Unparalleled Level Of Jewish Hatred And Crime"

On April 22, the Houthi Political Bureau issued a statement reaffirming the group's support for the Palestinian people and their "courageous resistance" in the Gaza Strip. The statement noted that "The Israeli enemy's crimes of genocide continue for the seventh consecutive month," a fact which, it said, reflects "an unparalleled level of Jewish hatred and crime."[1]

"Without American and Western support, shameful Arab silence, and international inability, Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people would not have occurred," it said. In view of this, the political bureau also expressed its hope that "the Yemeni Armed Forces will escalate its operations against Zionist shipping and those linked to it in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean."

Houthi Ministry Of Human Rights: The U.S. Has Presented Itself As A Direct Killer Of The Palestinian People

On April 23, the Houthi Ministry of Human Rights issued a statement condemning Israel for what it called "horrific crimes of genocide, starvation, and abuse."[2]

"The entire world stands before 200 days of continuous Zionist crimes on land, at sea, and in the air against the Gaza Strip, during which it has committed the most heinous crimes of ethnic cleansing, genocide, starvation, abuse, displacement, and everything else which goes along with a humanitarian catastrophe," the statement read, before listing a series of statistics and crimes that it accused Israel of committing.

The statement also held the U.S. and the West complicit in the alleged crimes, noting that Israel "uses various types of American and Western ammunition, missiles, and bombs" during its operations. "America has presented itself as a direct killer of the Palestinian people via its continuous arms deals, its providing of political cover to the entity [Israel], its defiance of international will, and its insistence on preventing a ceasefire," the statement added.

Houthi Spokesman: American Brutality Carried Out By Zionism Against The Gaza Strip Is Fated To Be Broken And Defeated

Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdusalam, in an April 23 post on X, took the occasion to criticize U.S. support for Israel. "[It has been] two hundred days of continuous Zionist crimes against the Gaza strip," he wrote, continuing: "crimes which have affected everything with open and unlimited support by the stalwarts of Western democracy led by America. This American brutality, which is carried out by Zionism against the Gaza Strip is fated to be broken and defeated. It cannot continue to rule the region and the world with iron and fire."[3]

Houthi Movement Calls On "Jihadi Yemeni People" To Mobilize And Undertake Military Training Courses

On Telegram, the Houthi Ansar Allah Media Center shared a poster announcing that the group's "general mobilization" has called on all Yemenis to enlist in military training courses aimed at "assisting Gaza and the Palestinian people."[4]

The poster's text read: "In the context of the comprehensive mobilization of our jihadi Yemeni people to assist Gaza, support the Palestinian people, and respond to the call of Abd Al-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, the 'general mobilization' announces its resumption of open military courses – the Al-Aqsa Flood courses – and calls on all the men and youth of our jihadi Yemeni people in all the free governorates, to communicate with the officials of the 'mobilization' in all the districts, and to coordinate with them in joining these courses."
