On June 3, 2015, the pro-Palestinian hacker group AnonGhost successfully hacked and defaced the website for the Sheriff's Office in Piatt County, Illinois. The defaced page featured the following message: "WE ARE ANONGHOST WE ARE ALWAYS HERE TO PUNISH YOU! BECAUSE WE ARE THE VOICE OF PALESTINE AND WE WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT."
