On July 21, 2014, Anonymous Kenya along with the hacker group using the Twitter handle @Anon_0x03 successfully took over the official Twitter account of the Kenyan Defense Force (@kdfinfo). The hackers tweeted from the account, accusing the Kenyan military of spending money on weapons as Africans remain impoverished.
The hackers also reportedly took over the account of KDF spokesman Major E.K. Chirchir.
