On May 9, 2023, Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) aired a report about a military drill held by the Houthis' Sanaa Forces in a 100-square-kilometer area in the Taiz region in southern Yemen. The large-scale drill, which was titled "Loyalty to the Martyred Leader," was carried out by forces from the Houthis' 4th Military Command and involved the use of explosive-laden drones, infantry forces, artillery, tanks, rockets, and against targets simulating Israeli and American positions.
