On June 25, 2023, a member of the political council of Yemen's Houthi Iran-backed Ansar Allah Movement tweeted a call for Muslim youth to carry out "global" cyber-attacks on pornographic websites, stating that doing so is a form of jihad for the sake of Allah, part of battle against worldwide corruption and crime, and "a real confrontation with advocates of homosexuality and homosexuality in the American system and others who enact laws to protect it."
