On January 13, 2025, Channel 1 (Iran) aired a report about the Iranian Army's recent receipt of 1,000 new drones into the arsenal of its four branches. The drones, which were both combat drones and "destroyer" drones, were presented to the Army's Commander-in-Chief and Iran's Defense Minister. According to the report, which contained footage showing the drones, some of the "destroyer" UAVs in question are still classified, and the report provided details about the Moharram, Kaman-99, and Arash-2 stealth-capable UAVs. It also noted that this is the first time Iran's Air Force has received Kaman-99 drones, which reportedly have a range of 2,000 kilometers. In addition, the report said that the Arash-2 drones have an AI-based navigation system that makes it highly resistant to electronic warfare.

Narrator: "1,000 UAVs of various types –combat drones and destroyer drones – [were presented] simultaneously in different parts of the country, with the attendance of the Army Commander-in-Chief and the Defense Minister. They are being added to the Army's four forces.
"A large number of these UAVs are of the destroyer model. Here, only three types of models are displayed. Some of the destroyer UAVs are still classified. The Moharram, Kaman-99 and Arash-2 models have stealth capabilities and can even evade the enemy's radars.
"For the first time, the destroyer UAV Kaman-99 which has a range of over 2,000 km, was added to the combat capabilities of the Air Force. Additionally, the Moharram UAV is specifically designed to suppress the enemy's radars and the anti-aircraft radars of the missile systems, so that in a network-based warfare, the Arash-2 UAV could attack strategic targets deep in enemy territory.
"The Arash-2 UAV and the Army's other destroyer UAV's can hide from radars and confront electronic warfare. The Arash-2 UAV specifically has a new navigation system, which is based on a new AI-based technology. Without requiring any guidance from a command center, it can reach its target. It has also become highly resistant to the enemy's electronic warfare."
