On October 17, 2022, a hacker group linked to Iran-backed militias in Iraq shared a post on its Telegram channel claiming responsibility for a cyber-attack that targeted the website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure.
The channel shared two posts in English: One, expressing support for Russia, and another, condemning NATO.
The posts also included a link to the hacked website. MEMRI JTTM checked the ministry's website on the day the claim was made and can verify that it was offline. The website returned online on October 18.
