On March 6, 2023, a user of the Rocket.Chat server run by the Islamic State (ISIS) published a post addressing supporters who wish to become involved in cyber jihad but are complete beginners. The user recommended they begin studying networking, LINUX/UNIX command lines, programming basics, and the OSI model for network communications.
