On July 20, 2017, Nasher News, the main entity that posts Islamic State (ISIS) content on Telegram, shared a set of instructions and conditions that other ISIS supporters must follow for them to be allowed to repost Nasher content on their respective channels.
The move comes amid several recent warnings to ISIS supporters issued by Nasher against reposting the group's content on their channels. The current announcement implies that these warnings fell on deaf ears. Nasher's move can also be viewed as an attempt to maintain exclusivity, and to some degree a monopoly, over publishing ISIS content, although it may also be a protective measure against the publishing of unverified ISIS news on other channels.
Nasher operates dozens of Telegram channels and groups, some are private and some are public, with ISIS content simultaneously posted across all of them around the clock.
