Pakistani Hacker Discovers Gmail Vulnerability

On November 5, 2016, it was reported that a Pakistani white hat hacker had discovered a vulnerability in Gmail's verification process that allowed the hijacking of any Gmail account. The hacker, Ahmed Mehtab, found that Google's process of associating or linking addresses was vulnerable to authentication or verification bypass, allowing for the hijacking of email accounts.
