On June 18, 2014, the Iranian hacker Dr.3v1l successfully hacked the website for the Pentagon Channel (Pentagonchannel.mil), which broadcasts military news and information to members of the U.S. armed services. The hacker was able to inject malicious script using a cross-site scripting XSS vulnerability.
The site administrators subsequently took the website down, presumably to patch this vulnerability.
