Pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram Channel Warns Supporters Against Posting Personal Photos Online To Avoid Identification And Detection After X User Locates U.S. Stealth Bomber Using Astrometry

A pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram channel advised supporters not to publish photos of themselves online to avoid identification, surveillance, and detection. The warning came in response to a thread on X, published in December 2022, which determined the location of a U.S. Air Force stealth aircraft by analyzing the positions of stellar constellations seen in a photo taken of the aircraft.
