On October 10, 2016, it was reported that Turkey had blocked access to technology services including GitHub, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox in an attempt to suppress the circulation of about 57,623 emails that are said to reveal evidence of widespread "propaganda and deception." According to The Register, Turkeyblocks.org reports that Github, Dropbox and other affected sites are displaying SSL errors indicating blocking at the ISP level. This comes in the wake of the leaking of the aforementioned emails by the hacking group known as RedHack, which supposedly obtained the emails by hacking the personal accounts of Berat Albayrak, Turkey's Energy Minister and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's son-in-law.
