Violent disorder broke out in Amsterdam after Aja's Europa League match against Maccabi Tel Aviv on November 7, 2024. Maccabi fans were attacked by pro-Palestinians shouting antisemitic slurs, resulting in several requiring hospitalization. Police in Amsterdam reported that there were coordinated actions among groups of attackers. An investigation is underway to determine if the attacks were organized in advance or spontaneous.
On November 14, the French team is hosting Israel at the Stade de France for another soccer match. On social media, a number of antisemitic statements were posted by French neo-Nazis in advance of the match. It should be noted that the neo-Nazi "Democratie Participative" website slammed nationalist politician Marine Le Pen for defending the Maccabi fans and praised the far left Jean-Luc Melenchon, head of La France Insoumise (LFI), for his “reasonable”—i.e. anti-Israeli—stance. Following is a sample.

A neo-Nazi website published an article titled "The France- 'Israel' match turns into a ritual of submission to the Jewish race." The article calls for the cancellation of the match: "[...] Still on the side of the supporters of the Jewish race, the RN [Rassemblement National, Marine Le Pen's nationalist party] demanded not to look at the money spent to protect the [Jewish] genocidal sect [...] LFI [La France Insoumise, the leftist party run by Jean-Luc Melenchon] adopted a position which, as very often when it comes to Jews, is reasonable [...] I really do not know why we have diplomatic relations with the Jewish Daesh [i.e., Israel] (if not because of the fact that Jewish finance controls Western democracies) [...] This genocidal [soccer] match must be canceled."
On Gab, a white supremacist, antisemitic, identitarian user commented on the Amsterdam attack against Maccabi Tel Aviv fans, writing: "Royal Pogrom - NETHERLANDS: The hunt is on for Jews lol. Israeli supporters chased and lynched by militia shouting 'Free Palestine.' One thrown into the water, another deliberately hit by a car [...] Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha! [Lauging emojis]."
On Gab two days later, the user shared another post praising the violence in Amsterdam. The post reads: "Royal Pogrom, NETHERLANDS. Muslims are hunting down JEWS): new anti-Semitic incidents. Individuals presumed to be Jews are being checked and expelled from taxis. Ha ha ha [laughing emojis] [...] The situation is EXCELLENT & amusing." The post includes a link to a news article providing further details on the situation.
On Telegram, the channel of a conspiracy theorist and antisemitic influencer shared a photo of an Ajax Amsterdam player next to a Maccabi Tel Aviv player on a soccer field in Amsterdam, and wrote: "[...] The Israeli-Palestinian conflict was exported in two tense strikes into the world of football: first with the ballsy banner of PSG, then with the Amsterdam pogrom, where provocative Zionists were beaten up. All this foreshadows a change that is both societal and geopolitical. The world is moving and Israel is faltering." "Banner of PSG" refers to a "Free Palestine" banner held up by Paris Saint-Germain soccer fans depicting the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the flag of Lebanon, and the State of Israel in the colors of the Palestinian keffiyeh.
