A “documentary” film about IRGC General Qasem Soleimani, killed by the U.S. in 2020, presenting Soleimani as a "hero and martyr of the Resistance," is set to be screened in Nice, France, on January 26, 2024. The film director “Aissa” appears to be affiliated with the Axis of Resistance, which supports Iran, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Hamas. The film was advertised by antisemitic, fascist and ultranationalist French figures. While the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, has banned the film's screening, the conspiracy theorist “Culture Populaire” association, which promotes both ultranationalist antisemites and pro-Iranian elements, is fighting the ban. Following are details.
