French 15-year-old Matisse Marchais was stabbed to death in Châteauroux, France on April 27, 2024, by 15-year-old Afghani immigrant Rahman Mommadi. The stabber’s Afghani mother was also indicted for violence against the victim. The incident triggered an uproar among ultranationalist, fascist, monarchist and neo-Nazi groups. A previous MEMRI-DTTM report documented the doxing of the assailant by a neo-Nazi Telegram chat group, and the making of posters ready for printing, reading "The State Is Not Defending You, Prepare Yourself!
In addition, ultranationalists organized an action on the stairs of the Angers Court of Justice in which they accused "lenient" judges of “killing our children” and called for “revolt.” Tags of vandalized windows in the French city of Annecy stated that “Matisse will be avenged” and vowed “death for traitors.” The full report shows that ultranationalist groups across France work together and support each other.
