An 18-year-old neo-Nazi extremist was arrested by French police on July 17, 2024 and was charged with offences relating to plotting terrorist attacks targeting the Olympic Games. The man was the administrator of a neo-Nazi and accelerationist group on Telegram.
The charges stem from posts the man made regarding a drag performer who is scheduled to carry the Olympic Torch in Paris. The user threatened to take action against the Games if the planned Torch parade went ahead.
The group's members have consistently posted similar threats, as well as numerous videos showing members assaulting people.
The following report will highlight recent threats and violent content shared by the group on Telegram and collected by MEMRI DTTM Researchers.
