The family of London-based Holocaust denier David Irving, author of the infamous "Hitler's War," announced a fundraiser on the Irving Books publishing house's website to raise money for Irving's unspecified illness. The 85-year-old Irving requires round-the-clock care, according to the site. His family reports that his health steadily declined since his move to Key West, Florida. Upon his return to the United Kingdom, his family claim that round-the-clock care could not be provided by the National Health Service due to unspecified "constraints with NHS services." Numerous neo-Nazis and Holocaust deniers posted links to the fundraiser, with donations accepted directly through the Irving Books website. Donations can be made by Bank of America or Barclay's direct transfer, or by mailing a check or cash to the Irving Books headquarters in Greater London.

The following report will outline Irving's fundraising efforts and reactions to his illness from neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

In an appeal for donations on the Irving Books website, whose IP address is hosted by Cloudflare, Irving's family wrote that "David Irving's legal battles have been a testament to his unwavering commitment to free speech. Now in 2024 your support is vital in helping him face another type of challenge – that of declining health. Contributions of any size provide crucial support to sustain David during these difficult times." The post details the two areas funded by donations: medical care and the "preservation and continuation of his work." In terms of his work, a member of the family confirmed to an unidentified "Michael" that Irving, despite his illness, is still working on the third volume of his Churchill biography, and that it will be published, along with other current, perhaps final, projects, including a second volume on Heinrich Himmler.
