On June 9, 2023, a 38-count indictment against former President Donald Trump was released. The case against him says that he mishandled classified documents after leaving office and obstructed the government's attempts to reclaim them.  In response, antigovernment extremists, neo-Nazis, white supremacists took to social media to issue threats and call for violence.

Users on one social media platform claimed that "real patriots are making the death threats" and "people need to organize and get active." Others called for televised hangings and warned: "Wait until 50 million Trump supporters storm the Miami Federal Court Building."

On other platforms users expressed their support for Trump. They said that the indictment is proof of political persecution and that it is a "weaponization of the government." Others stated that those opposing Trump should "be hung for treason," and that the indictment is simply an effort to "distract from Biden's treason."

The following report is a compilation of neo-Nazi, white supremacist, and antigovernment reactions to Trump's indictment.

Social Media Users Issues Threats Against Politicians And Incite Violence In The Name Of Trump

On a social media platform, an antigovernment extremist posted on June 10 a screenshot of a Tweet announcing Trump's indictment. Many users responded to the post, with some issuing threats. A user wrote: "Anyone who grabs an ammo box will be labelled a 'false flag' by the people here, as you said. We've seen it time and time again. When 1/6 happened, all the conservatives I knew, who had cheered the ideas of such, immediately disavowed it." Another user added: "How the fuck does a peaceful protest prove the worth of the ammo box? If we brought guns and wanted to inflict harm you can bet every single politician would be dead."

Another user on the same platform wrote: "I hope Joe falls down the stairs." A second individual added: "Into a wood chipper."

A third user added: "THEY HAVE DUG THEIR OWN GRAVE... WE WILL BURY THEM... TRUMP 2024."
