Russian Fascist Movement Fundraises For Russian Military In Ukraine Via Cryptocurrencies, Works With Specially Designated Global Terrorist

A Russian fascist movement has repeatedly raised funds and provided war material to Russian forces fighting in Ukraine. The movement's stated goal is the "revival of Russia as a cultural, civilizational, and geopolitical uniting force on the territory of the former Soviet republics."

The movement also has links to a specially designated global terrorist who is a member of the designated "Russian Imperial Movement" (RIM). The individual posted on his VKontakte account on June 7, 2022, stating that the fascist movement contributed 750,000 rubles for radio stations and binoculars that were provided to pro-Russia militias in Donetsk.

In a Telegram post on June 1, 2023, the movement posted a fundraising call for a Russian military unit fighting in the war with Ukraine. The post included calls for war materiel and provided links to several cryptocurrency addresses. According to the post, soldiers in the unit require a reconnaissance drone. For donations, the post includes a private bank account number, a link to transfer assets via cryptocurrency, and the number of a foreign currency account with the Russian VTB Bank. The post also contains a video depicting the regiment's fighters posing with their flag.
