On May 29, 2022, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet released an Arabic-language infographic poster discussing the features and weaknesses of the U.S.-made Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV), also known as the M2 Bradley.[1] Variations of the Bradley IFV have been produced by the U.S. military since 1981, with the most recent, the M2A4, being fielded in April 2022. The Bradley IFV was used by U.S. forces in Iraq during the first and second Gulf Wars. In addition to the U.S., the vehicle is also used by the militaries of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
The poster notes that the Bradley IFV features a 25-mm machine gun which can fire 200 rounds per minute and a missile turret which can fire seven TOW guided anti-tank missiles. To "impede its capabilities," the poster advises targeting the missile turret and machine gun with RPGs, stating that several RPGs are needed to destroy the vehicle. The infographic further notes that the vehicle weights 30.4 tons; can reach a speed of 66 kph (41 mph); carries a crew consisting of a commander, gunner, driver, and six infantrymen; and is also equipped with a 7-mm machine gun.
