On August 2, 2024, the Telegram channel 'Iranian Military Capabilities', which is linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) poublished a post suggesting that an "exceptional" attack is imminent, involving the IRGC and Iran-backed groups in the region, including Lebanese Hizbullah, Yemen's Ansar Allah Movement (Houthis), and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq. The post described the upcoming attack as the most "powerful and painful" strike in the history against Israel, saying it will target Israel's depth.

The "awaited" attack, the post claimed, will be carried out in response to Israel's attacks in the above-mentioned countries, and to avenge series of alleged Israeli assassination in Beirut and Tehran.

"Israel Is In A State Of Madness And Confusion"

In a lengthy post shared on their Telegram channel, the IRGC-affiliated outlet addressed the escalating regional tension following the alleged Israeli assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31 and for past alleged assassination of officials of Iran-backed militias in the region.

The post argued that Israel's use of "assassination" along with its attempt to "open war on all fronts," is a clear indicator that it has reached a state of "madness and confusion," as it awaits a counterattack from Yemen, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq.

"While the world awaits a sweeping attack from Yemen in response to the Hudaydah strike, and a Hizbullah attack in Israel's depth for the first time since October 7, in response to the attack on Beirut, and an Iranian attack in response to targeting the great leader, the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, along with an attack from Iraq in response to striking the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the Jurf al-Nasr area, the Israeli enemy is living in a state of madness and confusion, which has led it to use its strongest and most effective and significant tool: assassinations and opening a war on all fronts."

However, the outlet claimed that Israel is not equipped to expand the war, arguing that it is "drowning in the mud of Gaza" and encountering strikes from Hizbullah and the Houthis on a daily basis.

Preparing The Most "Powerful, Painful Strike In History"

The post further emphasized that the Iran-backed militias in Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq are continuously coordinating with Iran's IRGC to strike back Israel. It said: "The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Lebanon's Hizbullah, Yemen's Houthis, and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq are preparing for the most powerful and painful strike in history."

"Iran Has More Than One Attack To Respond To"

It then suggested that Israel did not claim responsibility for Haniyeh's assassination in Tehran because it fears a "direct Iranian response." It continued: "The martyrdom of the Iranian military advisor, Milad Bedi, in the [July 30] Beirut strike changed the course of events, and the Israeli enemy, in its clear state of madness, was forced to carry out the Tehran strike. The martyrdom of Milad Bedi may be used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps as a legitimate excuse to carry out a direct strike [on Israel], in addition to [Israel's alleged] Damascus strike [on April 1], which the Revolutionary Guards Corps has promised to respond to."

"Assassinating Haniyeh In Tehran Crossed All Red Lines"

The post argued that the assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran is "an Israeli act that crossed all red lines" and vowed that Iran's response will be the "deadliest."

It stated: "The great leader, the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, achieved martyrdom on the land of Tehran, the capital in which the Revolutionary Guards are rooted, and where the [Israeli] strike crossed all red lines. We now rule out the possibility of a strike similar to 'Operation True Promise', because the deadliest strikes are still on the way."

The post stressed that "a joint, unified strike in which Iran is the largest participant, targeting the depths of the Zionist enemy," will take place soon.

"What we are certain of is that they will say: The Iranian strikes in 'Operation True Promise' were a walk in the park compared to what will happen. By Allah, we talk [but also] walk the walk, and we only resolve things in a constructive awy. Based on what we know, our Revolutionary Guard is capable and honest with actions that speak louder than words."
