In a Pashtu-language article, "From September 11 To Doha – Lessons For Afghan Mujahideen," an Afghan media outlet praises former Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden as "the hero of the 21st century who shook the unbeliever governments through the events of September 11, 2001."

The article was published by Ummat News, which appears to support Hizb-ut-Tahrir Afghanistan, and shared on Twitter. The article alleges that America used 9/11 as a pretext for its October 7, 2001, military intervention in Afghanistan, declaring Muslims and Islam as its new enemies under the guise of a war against terrorism.

It also notes that America, facing an outright military defeat and withdrawal from Afghanistan, maneuvered the 2020 Doha Agreement with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA, i.e., the Afghan Taliban) so that "Afghanistan would not be completely free from their intervention and colonization."

Following is the text of the article:

"[Doha] Agreement Was The Chains That Tied The Hands Of Afghan [Taliban] Mujahideen And Took Away Their Courage And Bravery To Attack... The Heart Of Unbeliever Powers Like The September 11 Attacks"

"From September 11 To Doha – Lessons For Afghan Mujahideen

"Osama bin Laden is the hero of the 21st century who shook the unbeliever governments through the events of September 11, 2001. However, America used this attack as a pretext for military intervention in Afghanistan. Under the name of the fight against terrorism, it declared Muslims and Islam as its new enemies and gathered its allies (NATO) against them.

"But a decade later, America realized that powerful countries in the world [such as Russia] are threatening the American hegemony and are seeking to invade other countries. Thus, America was forced to counter this. On the other hand, America knew that if it withdrew from Afghanistan, a colonial gap would be created or that the mujahideen would pose a threat to Americans and their puppet infidel regimes.

"Therefore, it sought to ensure that the Afghan [Taliban] mujahideen had an agreement with them so that America would have the means to intervene, and Afghanistan would not be completely free from their intervention and colonization.

"The Doha agreement turned their hope into reality. This agreement was the chains that tied the hands of Afghan mujahideen and took away their courage and bravery to attack... the heart of unbeliever powers like the September 11 attacks – even to the extent that mujahid brothers like Ayman Al-Zawahiri became victims of American drone strikes in the heart of Kabul.

"This agreement deprived the Afghan mujahideen of the courage and bravery to save the Islamic land from [new American-led] colonialism, puppets, mercenary rulers, and looting."

"Allah Almighty Has Given The Opportunity To The Mujahideen Of Afghanistan To Break The Borders As A Strong State And Destroy The Infidel Mercenary Rulers... So That The Fear Of September 11 Will Be Revived"

"But September 11 teaches us that we must always keep fear alive in the heart of the unbeliever regimes; this fear can be kept alive in their hearts when we break the national borders built by them and enter their hearts and territories, remove their puppet rulers from power, and implement Islam in those lands.

"September 11 reminds us that we are not part of ISIS's games but rather the breakers of the arrogance of unbeliever power centers. We must escape from this prison and reclaim all our lands, including those of the Arabs and non-Arabs. Afghan mujahideen should not forget that Bukhara and Samarkand are our lands.

"The mujahideen should not leave the [territories won in the] conquests of Muhammad bin Qasim to the American and other infidel slaves. These mujahideen must emerge from the prisons of national borders and free Al-Aqsa; they must eliminate the unbeliever concept of national borders so that Islam can rule the world...

"Allah almighty has given the opportunity to the mujahideen of Afghanistan to break the borders as a strong state and destroy the infidel mercenary rulers through a strong army under the leadership of an Emir [leading a global Caliphate] – so that the fear of September 11 will be revived and this time it will not be from an Islamic jihadist group [like the Islamic Emirate], but from the Islamic state. This time, the Western unbelievers will not have the power to attack the Islamic rule because they will not face a group but an Islamic state. Allah willing!"
