On May 28, 2024, Hizb-ut-Tahrir Afghanistan released its weekly Pashtu-language article titled, "Is It Beneficial To Recognize Palestine By Some Countries?" The article says that Palestine is fundamentally the land of Islam and the Islamic Ummah, and a Jewish rule cannot be legitimately established there.
It criticizes any efforts or intentions by people or countries to recognize a Palestinian government alongside a Jewish state in Palestine as a betrayal of the mujahideen who have fought for Jerusalem since the early days of Islam.
Following is the text of the statement, as translated from Pashtu:
"America Does Not Have Any Opposition To The Countries That Recognize Palestine, Especially When The Affairs And Governance Of Palestine Are In The Hands Of Someone Who Cannot Even Go To The Bathroom Without The Permission Of America And Israel"
"In recent days, on May 28 of this year, Norway, Spain, and Ireland announced that they will recognize Palestine as an independent country. This news was praised by various Palestinian groups, and supporters of Palestine called it an important step for the independence of Palestine. But the basic question is whether Palestine, Palestinians, and Muslims benefit from the recognition of the Palestinian state by these three countries or not?
"First of all, it should be said that this is not the first time that a few countries have decided to recognize Palestine. Previously, Palestine was recognized by 138 countries. Basically, it is important from which side these countries look at Palestine and what kind of government do they accept? It is also important as to what does an independent Palestine mean for these countries.
"When the United States became the world's superpower after the Second World War, the rule and sovereignty of Palestine was left to the United States from the British. This was while the British and the French had already divided the entire Islamic land, including Palestine, between themselves due to the fall of the [Turkey-led] Islamic Caliphate, and the rule and sovereignty of Palestine had reached the British.
"Since then, America's policy regarding Palestine is that two separate states of Muslims and Jews should be established in the land of Palestine. America is still observing the same policy; they want the Jews to have an independent, strong, and powerful state in Palestine and to control the entire Middle East with it, and at the same time, a weak, helpless and mercenary Palestinian government like other Arab governments.
"Therefore, America does not have any opposition to the countries that recognize Palestine, especially when the affairs and governance of Palestine are in the hands of someone who cannot even go to the bathroom without the permission of America and Israel. On this basis, the establishment of two states in Palestine is an American vision and unfortunately, all the Muslim and non-Muslim countries of the world have accepted this vision."
"Every Inch Of Palestine Has Been Stained With The Blood Of Muslims And Mujahideen – Therefore, Accepting A Jewish State Alongside The Palestinian State In This Land Is A Betrayal Of Allah, The Messenger Of Allah, And Thousands Of Martyrs"
"Therefore, when any country or countries of the world recognize Palestine, it is basically following the same American policy. Because these countries have already recognized Israel as the state of the Jews in the land of Palestine. Also, as Palestine is now recognized by 138 countries, if it is recognized by the whole world and finally by the United Nations, it will not benefit Islam and the Palestinians. Because even then, a large part of Palestine will be under the occupation and rule of the Jews.
"The recognition of the Palestinian state by these countries does not weaken the sovereignty of the Jews, nor can any change be made in the oppressive agenda of the Jews regarding the Palestinians. Also, this solution cannot cure the pain of the helpless and oppressed people of Gaza and Palestinians, nor can it stop their tears of oppression. Because behind the Jews, the whole West and even the mercenaries and tyrannical rulers of the Islamic lands are standing, and all of them are happy to kill and beat the Palestinians more and more, in order to leave their values and Islamic hopes, and to be satisfied with merely surviving.
"The truth is that Palestine is the land of Islam and the Islamic Ummah, and Jewish rule and government cannot be established in even an inch of the land. Anyone and any country that wants a Palestinian government alongside the Jews in Palestine, they are basically enemies of Islam and the Palestinians. The blessed land of Palestine is the first Qibla [the direction toward which a Muslim turns to pray in Islam] of the Messenger of Allah, and the Islamic Ummah.
"Palestine is the memorial of Hazrat Umar ibn al-Khattab [the second Islamic caliph and first Muslim to conquer Jerusalem]. Every inch of Palestine has been stained with the blood of Muslims and mujahideen. Therefore, accepting a Jewish state alongside the Palestinian state in this land is a betrayal of Allah, the Messenger of Allah, and thousands of martyrs. Palestine is not the land of the Jews, but of the Muslims, and the destruction of the Jewish rule is the duty of all Islamic armies."
