On October 31, 2023, Hizbut Tahrir Afghanistan tweeted a Pashtu-language statement calling on Muslims to wage jihad in support of Hamas against Israel and urging the Afghan Taliban government to organize its troops and liberate the occupied Palestinian territories from Jews.
The translation of the statement from Pashtu language is as follows:
"Oh Mujahideen Of The Islamic Emirate, Jihad Is Obligatory On You For The Liberation Of Al-Aqsa Mosque And The Defense Of Palestinian Muslims!"
"Oh Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate, Jihad is Obligatory on You for the Liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Defense of Palestinian Muslims!
"The issue of Palestine is heating up day by day, but the soulless bodies, the cries of the oppressed, the destroyed houses and the bodies buried in them, have not yet awakened some sleepers. But how deep the sleep of officials, power-holders, and court scholars is, we can judge whether these consciences are really asleep or dead. Do they not listen, do they not learn a lesson, and do they not fear the consequences of their actions?...
"Yes, the Islamic Ummah has its own unique test in every age that must be overcome collectively. Today and in this era, the test of the Islamic Ummah is the establishment of the Caliphate and the liberation of the occupied lands, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque. Yes, Al-Aqsa tests hearts, exposes traitors, refines ranks, and finally brings out those who have the eligibility and honor to become part of the caliphate and liberate Al-Aqsa...
"Oh Islamic Ummah! You, young and old, who consider yourself worthy to be counted among two billion Muslims, do not forget your contribution on Islamic issues. Stand up and raise your voice so that the world knows that the Islamic Ummah is not dead, even if it is corrupt and has gone toward decline. Stand up, hold your officials accountable and remind them the shari'a responsibilities of the people in power, put pressure on them so that they do not ignore you and your values, make Islam the ruler, and wage jihad to liberate the occupied lands...
"Oh Scholars! You who are the inheritors of the prophets, know that no money or material capital is inherited from Prophet Muhammad. You are the inheritors of the prophets in knowledge, revelation and the calculations of the authorities. Do the right of knowledge and take a shari'a position toward Islamic cases and fear nothing but Allah.
"The Arab And [Non-Arab] Rulers Have Taken The Muslim Armies Hostage, The Treachery Of The Muslim Rulers Has Been Going On For Years, And Most Of Them Actually Provide The Security Of The Jewish State"
"Remind the people in power and the armies their in the obligation of shari'a, and this is the legacy of the prophets, to say clearly that jihad for the liberation of Palestine is obligatory on the people of power and the armies...
"Oh Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate! Jihad is the only way to liberate Palestine! The Arab and [non-Arab] rulers have taken the Muslim armies hostage, the treachery of the Muslim rulers has been going on for years, and most of them actually provide the security of the Jewish state. You [mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate] are the ones who are known as the defeaters of America and NATO in the Islamic world.
"You are the ones who have not yet completely embraced and been affected by the corruption of power and wealth, you are the ones who have not yet been completely embraced by the Western powers, international values, and the secular rules and conspiracy, and you are the ones who still have the jihadi feeling alive in our hearts. That is why the Palestinian sister is calling to you: Help, Afghanistan! If you do not support the oppressed Muslims today, when will you do it? So, break the barriers, remove national borders, the world order, worldly concerns, etc.
"If you do this, your ranks and lines will not remain weak through the Islamic Ummah and know that Allah's help is with those who go to battle in the form of an organized army and the ranks of steel, and these ranks are not prepared individually or on smuggling trips. The Islamic State and its army must form this line because Allah loves this line!"
