On July 11, 2024, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) issued a press release on Telegram, accusing the U.S. of being "complicit" in Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

The statement called on the international community, the people of the world, and the victims of "American terrorism" to target American interests everywhere, to respond to the alleged U.S. involvement what the PFLP press release called the "Zionist genocide in Gaza." [1]

The PFLP started the statement by accusing the U.S. of participating in the ongoing Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip, citing a CNN investigative report.

The release argued that internationally banned American-made weapons and missiles were used to kill thousands in Gaza, and claimed that CNN's report conveyed a vivid picture of the "heinous crimes" committed by those receiving American arms.

Commenting on the CNN report, it said: "The report showed that the ammunition used to bomb a school housing displaced people in Abasan, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, was American-made ammunition."

While shaming the world for standing "silent in the face of the atrocities," the PFLP statement also cited a Wall Street Journal report, saying that it revealed that the Biden administration agreed to ship "500-pound bombs to the Zionist entity." It further cited the Washington Post, which reported that the U.S had provided more than $6.5 billion in military aid to the Israeli army since "the Zionist war began in Gaza, which proves once again, beyond any doubt, the complicity of the American administration in the war crimes committed against the Palestinian people."

"We Call On Targeting American Interests Everywhere"

The statement then called on "all the free people of the world, and the victims of American terrorism in the world, to target American interests everywhere in response to America’s involvement in the Zionist war of annihilation in Gaza."

The PFLP's statement turned to the international community to intervene and take immediate action to stop the atrocities, highlighting that the American policies reflect full complicity in the "genocide" of Palestinians.

The statement further suggested that the American administration, "headed by war criminal Biden," should be held accountable before international courts by referring evidence to the International Court of Justice as new evidence of condemnation against the "Zionist occupation and its central ally, America."
