On August 27, 2024, pro-Al-Qaeda publisher Bayt Al-Maqdis released Issue 32 of its Ibnat Al-Islam (Daughter of Islam) women's magazine. The 108-page issue, which is mostly in the Arabic-language, with English and French sections, tackled issues of relevance to Muslim women including the war in Gaza.

"How To Free Palestine?"

The magazine opened with an article titled, "How To Free Palestine?" written by Um-A'mara Al-Muhajira, in which she railed against alleged Israeli-American "massacres" against Palestinians and Muslims, condemning the Islamic world for supposedly living under the mercy of the "occupation of the Zionist-Crusader" alliance.

Arguing that fighting the Israelis will not be enough, the article made another suggestion: "It is impossible to liberate Palestine by attacking the Zionists only, rather it must be a comprehensive war against the grand alliance that supports the Zionists and provides their bastard entity with the reasons for survival, continuity, and tyranny."

Accusing the U.S of orchestrating the "massacres" against the Palestinians, the article states: "There is nothing uglier or more despicable than the statements of the American administration, the head of tyranny in the world."

The Next Phase: Jihad

For not being able to provide relief to the Palestinians, the article portrayed the state of Islamic Ummah [nation] as "frail." The author urged Muslims to pursue jihad to free their religion and Palestine from the "occupier," emphasizing that jihad can guarantee the liberation that Muslims seeks, as well as victory and empowerment.

The article further emphasized: "The occupation [i.e., Israel] and its malicious allies are concentrating their focus to deprive Muslims from practicing their faith" which obligates the duty of jihad as a solution to their crises.

Accusing the West of distorting the Muslims' perception of the Caliphate project, the author accused Western powers of promoting the idea that there is no point in resisting Israel. It urged readers to be aware of such western strategies and to counter them.

Jihadi Children

Another article in the magazine was titled "Prepare A Generation Of Mujahideen." The piece explained the importance of supplying the frontiers of Islam with a new generation of mujahideen who believe in the essence of jihad and martyrdom.

"We need a generation of mujahideen that were raised to follow the path of former mujahideen. Not a generation raised on the collapsing Western culture."

Suggesting that parents should start embedding jihadi ideology into their children's minds at an early age, the article urged parents to "let the hearts and minds unite on the projects of making mujahideen, even if done in secrecy in places of oppression and persecution, until Allah Almighty permits the fall of the thrones of tyrants and the empowerment of his mujahideen."

The anonymous author also urged parents to carefully examine their children’s textbooks and to "alter" them if necessary to ensure that they meet the standards of the jihadi education their children should receive.

Further, the author suggested that parents should gather in public, or in secret, to exchange thoughts on how to develop projects that lead to the creation of new mujahedeen.

"The Battle Is Between Muslims And Jews"

Titled "Jerusalem And Al-Aqsa: The Cause Of Every Muslim," the English-language section in the magazine stated that Palestine is an "Islamic cause." The article contends that due to the religious and historic significance of both Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa to Muslims, the war between Palestinians and Israelis became a religious battle "between Muslims and Jews."

The article explained: "This is underlined by the Israeli government instilling this awareness in the minds of its citizens [..] One confirmation of the religious nature of this battle is that the West stands with the Jews and supports them against Muslims. Without their assistance and collusion, Israel would not have risen at all."

The French Section

In the French section, the magazine published a translated version of a nine-page essay titled: "This Is Gaza: An Existential War, Not a War of Borders," by Salem Al-Sharif, the senior Al-Qaeda leader known as Sayf Al-'Adl.

The article, published on May 4, 2024, accused Jews and Zionists of seeking to enslave Gentiles, branding them archenemies of Islam. It predicted that the current war in Gaza will escalate into a larger-scale conflict, motivating Muslims to liberate their countries from Western hegemony and regain world domination. [1]

Posters and Hashtags

Along with a poem dedicated to Gaza, the magazine concluded its issue with a black-background poster, along with a red text that reads in Arabic: "USA is the official sponsor of terrorism in the world."

The poster also featured a hashtag with the same phrase in the English language.
