On December 6, 2023, the pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Al-Mithani media outlet released a video titled: "Messages to Our People in Jerusalem: Strike the Jews With Iron."[1]

The thirteenth in a series of videos released in the context of the Israel-Hamas war, the two-and-a-half-minute video shows images of violence as a narrator incites attacks against Jews.

"Strike The Jews With Iron"

The video opens with graphic scenes showing attacks on Israeli soldiers. The video's narrator recites two Quranic verses, saying: "Allah said of the Jews: [Quran 17:5] 'When the first of the two warnings would come to pass, We would send against you some of Our servants of great might, who would ravage your homes. This would be a warning fulfilled.' And Allah said of the Jews: [Quran 57:25] 'And We sent down iron with its great might.'"

Continuing, the narrator incites Muslims to attack Jews: "Oh people of the Quran and people of war and the Sunnah, the proof and declaration has come to you from Allah, so carry out the promise and threat: Strike the Jews with iron and prepare against them military might."

"Take Up Arms And Wage Jihad"

The narrator continues: "We and our Al-Aqsa [Mosque] have become captive to the Jews, so take up arms and wage jihad," the narrator proclaims. "Pride [in Islam] does not come from us nor from the adversary, but it is taken from the unity of ranks, the closing of the ranks, and meeting your death so that the sun of Islam rises after being eclipsed."

A Call To Action: "Oh Palestine, You Are The Tragedy Of The Ummah"

Addressing Palestinians, the narrator calls Palestine "the tragedy of the Ummah, our tragedy." He ends by calling on Palestinians to "roll up their sleeves" and "kill them [the Jews] with stabbings and car rammings."
