On the first anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attack in Israel, Afghanistan's Watan24 news agency published a Dari-language report assessing the attack and saying it shattered Israel's image and "destroyed years of trust-building and the occupiers' efforts to establish a fake state."

The report, titled "The Al-Aqsa Storm Revealed The Hidden Fear Of The Israeli Regime To The World," quoted political analyst Sabet Heravi as saying: "Despite the fact that war brings casualties and losses, the Middle East changed after the Al-Aqsa Storm, and today, many countries have risen in defense of the oppressed Palestinian people."

Following are excerpts from the report:

'The Al-Aqsa Storm, Like A Powerful Tempest, Dismantled The Prestige And Strength Of The Zionist Regime On A Global Scale And Created An Environment Of Deep Self-Confidence Among Muslims"

"Political analysts, on the one-year anniversary of Al-Aqsa Storm operation, say that this operation has shattered the fear of the Zionist regime and destroyed years of trust-building and efforts by the occupiers to establish a fake state.

"Sabet Heravi, a political analyst, in an interview with Watan24 News Agency, stated: 'The Al-Aqsa Storm, like a powerful tempest, dismantled the prestige and strength of the Zionist regime on a global scale and created an environment of deep self-confidence among Muslims.'

"According to Mr. Heravi, the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, as an unprecedented operation, had a significant impact on various levels, one of which was the removal of the mask from the faces of those claiming to defend human rights, as well as women's and children's rights.

"Heravi added: This operation also showcased the regime's failure in defending itself and shattered their claims of having a strong defense shield and powerful intelligence forces. 'Mossad, which was claimed to be the world's strongest intelligence agency, was completely shocked by the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, and the Palestinian resistance people showed that they have the courage to fight the occupation.'"

"Khaled Mashal, One Of The Leaders Of Hamas, Announced That The Struggle And Resistance Will Continue Until The End Of The Occupation"

"He continued: despite the fact that war brings casualties and losses, the Middle East changed after the Al-Aqsa Storm, and today, many countries have risen in defense of the oppressed Palestinian people. He emphasized that in the end, the victory will certainly belong to the Palestinian people, and the fake state of Israel will be eliminated.

"It was on October 7 of last year [2023] that the major Al-Aqsa Storm operation began with missile attacks and raids on the occupied territories by the Al-Qassam forces, the military wing of Hamas.

"On the morning of that same day, the martyr Dr. Ismail Haniyeh and the political representatives of this movement in Qatar, after performing a prostration of thankfulness said: 'This operation is the response to 70 years of oppression and occupation.' Since then, in response to this defeat, the Israeli regime has targeted over 41,000 civilians in Gaza and has destroyed most of the infrastructure in this territory.

"However, on the first anniversary of the operation, Khaled Mashal, one of the leaders of Hamas, announced that the struggle and resistance will continue until the end of the occupation. He also expressed gratitude to the countries of Yemen, Lebanon, and Iran for their support of the Palestinian resistance."
