In an October 27, 2024, lecture at the Islamic Institute of America in Dearborn Heights, MI, Shi'ite religious scholar Ahmad Qazwini claimed that politicians in America can be bought like slaves or prostitutes. He argued that AIPAC "buys" politicians to support "the Zionists" and that Miriam Adelson bought Trump to "destroy the Palestinians." Qazwini proposed that Shi'ites raise $100 million to "buy" presidential candidate Donald Trump in order to "destroy the Palestinians."
The lecture was streamed live on the Islamic Institute of America's YouTube channel, which recently hosted a memorial service for Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah. Notably, Ahmad Qazwini delivered the invocation at an NAACP conference in May, where President Joe Biden was the keynote speaker, and he attended alongside his father, Hassan Qazwini, the imam of the Islamic Institute of America.
