Following are excerpts from a public address delivered by Kamal Khatib, deputy leader of the Islamic movement in Israel, which aired on Al-Hiwar TV on April1, 2012:
Kamal Al-Khatib: "They call us – especially our people in the Negev – 'a demographic time bomb.' Between you and me – I used to say that this is not true, but do you know when I realized that it is? I am now convinced that it is true. This morning we were at a circumcision ceremony for children in Ar'ara. Between you and me, I was scared and turned away from the circumciser. I saw the 20-day-old-baby screaming in the arms of the circumciser. The circumciser did his job. It was nothing. I said to myself: 'Indeed, these babies constitute a demographic time bomb.'
"It's no mistake. I say to you and to anybody in the Israeli establishment who wants to listen… I won't swear by Allah or anything, but let me tell you: Mark my words, these 50 children whom we circumcised today – March 24, 2012 – if Allah grants them long life, and they get married in 18-20 years, the brides will be, Allah willing, from among the Palestinians returning to our homeland.
"Secondly, the children of those children who were circumcised today will be circumcised themselves in about 20 years. People here usually get married at an early age. If they get married at an early age, and circumcise their children…
"I swear – and I ask Allah to make this come true – that there will be no Uzi Goldbergs, or Brawers, or Benny Begins in this land. Not a single one of them will be here. This blessed land is bound to vomit all these foreigners!" […]
