On his Telegram channel on February 27, 2024, Dmitry Medvedev, former president of Russia and current deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, posted a series of posts commenting on French President Emmanuel Macron's statements about the possibility of NATO countries sending troops to Ukraine and about the leaked discussion among German military officers regarding the hypothetical possibility of striking the Kerch Bridge, which connects Russia to occupied Crimea, using long-range Taurus missiles.

Medvedev: "The Urine Went To [Macron's] Head"
Below is Medvedev's Telegram post commenting on Macron's statement about the possibility of Western troops being sent to Ukraine:[1]
"People have different kinds of illnesses.
"Some people have urinary incontinence. Of others, who are prone to rash reactions, it is said that 'the urine went to the head.'[2]
"But the current president of France, commander-in-chief of the armed forces of France and prince of Andorra, Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frederic Macron, has the two problems at once: First the urine went to the head, and then the speech incontinence occurred.
"He said that to be safe, Europe needs Russia to be defeated and therefore should send long-range missiles to the Nazis in Kiev and consider bringing troops from individual NATO states into the SMO [Special Military Operation] zone. Coupled with his recent desire to share France's nuclear arsenal with all interested Europeans, Macron's speech incontinence seems to have become a lingering and painful problem. The holder of the Legion of Honor is not taking care of himself. Or it is time to change his diet: oysters and champagne are a good thing, but he is not a boy anymore. Verbal enuresis [bedwetting] at his age is dangerous.
"And people around him do not like it. It smells, you know..."
Medvedev: "Our Eternal Adversaries – The Germans – Have Finally Turned Into Sworn Enemies Once Again"
Below is Medvedev's Telegram post commenting on a conversation among German army officers. Russian media published a leaked audio recording,[3] in which four senior Bundeswehr officers, reportedly including Air Force chief Ingo Gerhartz and Brigadier General Frank Gräfe, discuss how Taurus long-range cruise missiles could be used by Ukraine to attack Russian infrastructure, including their possible use against the Kerch Bridge:[4]
"Regarding the conversation between Bundeswehr officers about planned attacks on our country.
"Our eternal adversaries – the Germans – have finally turned into sworn enemies once again. Look how thoroughly and precisely the Krauts discuss strikes on our territory with the use of long-range missiles, select targets to hit and the most probable ways to cause maximum harm to our Motherland and our people. And do not forget about the use of deceitful rhetoric about Germany's non-participation in the conflict.
"Who could have imagined this just a short time ago?
"How to respond to it diplomatically?
"I do not know.
"I do know one thing. You cannot put it better than a poet:
"He wanted it so – It is his guilt —
"Let his house burn up, and his life.
"Let his woman become a widow;
"Do not let it be your wife.
"Do not let your mother tire from tears;
"Let the one who bore him bear the pain.
"Do not let it be yours, but his
"Family who will wait in vain.
"So kill at least one of them
"And as soon as you can.
"Still Each one you chance to see!
"Kill him! Kill him! Kill!
"(K. Simonov. Kill him! 1942)[5]
"The motto of the Great Patriotic War has become relevant once again:
"DEATH TO THE GERMAN-FASCIST OCCUPIERS!"
Medvedev: "Germany Is Preparing For War With Russia"
Below is Medvedev's Telegram post commenting on Germany's reaction to the leaked audio recording. "It is absolutely clear that such claims that this conversation would prove, that Germany is preparing a war against Russia, that this is absurdly infamous Russian propaganda," a spokesman for German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told reporters.[6]
"I think that now they will start whitewashing the ruling political alliance in Germany in order to soften the public's indignation from the talk of the Luftwaffe officers. As if this was all military scheming; they enjoy such talks, give them war games over bread any day. And the civilian political leadership has nothing to do with it. Moreover, at the head of this leadership is a peace-loving guy (aka liverwurst) Scholz, who refuses to hand over long-range missiles to the Banderites.[7] He is unaware of it and will sort it out.
"No one knows if the political leadership and the liverwurst chancellor personally are aware. But even if he is not aware of it and has not ordered anything of the kind, history knows many examples when military men were able to make decisions for civilian bosses about starting wars or to stimulate them. What if they come to Scholz and say: 'Herr (Reich) Chancellor, a missile was shot down in Ukraine. According to its type and trajectory, it was headed for Berlin.' What will Scholz say, eh?
"Clear as day.
"So, attempts to present the conversation of the Bundeswehr officers as a game of missiles and tanks is a malicious lie.
"Germany is preparing for war with Russia."

[2] In Russian, "the urine >went to the head" means "to be out of one's mind," "be nuts," "to become overexcited," or even that a person "lost it," as the person has become full of themselves beyond their capabilities.

[5] Konstantin Mikhailovich Simonov (1915–1979) was a Soviet author, war poet, playwright, and wartime correspondent. The poem, "Kill him!" which was written in 1942 during WWII, reads: "If your brother kills a German / He's a soldier; you are not. / So kill that German so he / Will lie on the ground's backbone. / So the funeral wailing will be / In his house, not in your own."
