In a November 25, 2024 speech to an audience of Basij commanders and members, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei called for going beyond the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants for Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant as war criminals, and demanded their execution.
Also on November 25, in a post on his Hebrew-language account on X that was marked by the platform as having "violated the X rules," Khamenei wrote that "the arrest warrant against Netanyahu is not enough" and that he and other "criminal elements of the Zionist entity" should all be sentenced to death.
The previous day, November 24, on the podium of the Iranian Majlis, Majlis member Hamid Reza Azizi-Farasani had announced that Basij members from the Bakhtiari tribe were ready to carry out the ICC's arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant.
The following are the main points of the statements by Khamenei and Farasani on the ICC arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant.
Khamenei: "The Iranian Basij Member Is Certain That One Day He Will Destroy The Zionist Regime"
In his November 25 speech, Khamenei discussed the messianic idea promoted by the Iranian regime, calling for a global Islamic Shi'ite society, and for the victory of the resistance axis and the destruction of the State of Israel that will be achieved thanks to Muslims' willingness to be martyrs. Labelling the ICC's arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant insufficient, he said that both of them must be executed. Following are the main points of his remarks:
"Tomorrow the resistance front will be many times stronger and broader than it is today. The Zionist regime, despite [its] continued war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon, will not triumph on the battlefield. The arrest warrant against Netanyahu is insufficient, and he and these criminal leaders must be sentenced to death..."
Explaining that "the Basij member advances the aim of creating an Islamic society and Islamic civilization and establishing justice out of faith, with no fear of death and with a desire for martyrdom," he added: "Some shining examples of the young people's passion for struggle and martyrdom were seen during the Iran-Iraq war and in defense of the homeland. Because of these characteristics, the Iranian Basij member is certain that one day he will destroy the Zionist regime...

"The [Zionist] idiots need not think that bombing homes, hospitals, and gatherings of residents is a sign of their victory. No one in the world sees this as a victory. The enemy has not won, and will not win, in Gaza and Lebanon, despite the war crimes it commits. The [ICC] arrest warrant for Netanyahu is not sufficient, and he and [the other] criminal leaders must be sentenced to death.
"The crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon will strengthen and intensify the resistance against the will of the criminals. When the zealous Palestinian and Lebanese boy from every [social] stratum sees that he is exposed to bombings and mortal danger – whether he is on the battlefield or not – he has no choice but to fight and resist. That is why the idiotic [Zionist] criminals are actually expanding the resistance front with their own hands. As much as the resistance front is expanding today, it will expand many times more tomorrow."[1]

Khamenei On X: "The Arrest Warrant Against Netanyahu Is Not Enough – There Should Be A Death Sentence"
Also on November 25, Khamenei wrote in Hebrew on his Hebrew-language X (formerly Twitter) account: "Genocide and killing women and children is a war crime. The arrest warrant against Netanyahu is not enough. There should be a death sentence against him and against the rest of the criminal elements of the Zionist entity." The post was marked by the platform as having "violated the X rules" and that it was being left up because "it may be in the public's interest."

Majlis Member Azizi-Farasani: The "Bakhtiari Basij" Is Ready To Implement The ICC's Decision Against Netanyahu And Gallant
The previous day, November 24, Majlis Energy Committee member Hamid Reza Aziz-Farasani announced at the Majlis that members of the Basij from the Bakhtiari tribe were ready to carry out the ICC warrants for the arrests of Netanyahu and Gallant and to bring them to the court. Farasani is himself a member of the Bakhtiari tribe. The following are the main points of his statements:
"We welcome the arrest warrants issued by the court in The Hague against the two war criminals Netanyahu and Gallant. This sentence exposes the real face of the West and of America that supports these two bullies. Likewise, the Basij members [of the] Bakhtiari [tribe] have expressed their willingness to hand these criminals over to the [ICC] court..."[2]
