Over the last two months, jihadis of diverse affiliations have increasingly appropriated Christmas imagery to produce targeted propaganda aimed at threatening and inciting violence during the 2021 holiday season.

A pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet that publishes mainly Indonesian-language content released seven posters depicting ISIS operatives perpetrating terror attacks in Western countries, specifically during the Christian holidays.

On December 24, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet Foundation released a poster threatening attacks similar to those perpetrated on 9/11.
On December 28, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet released a 10-minute video titled, "O Lone Wolf: When Will You Wake Up?" The video urges ISIS supporters in Western countries to perpetrate lone wolf attacks during the current holiday season.
On December 27, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet released a six-minute video titled "You Must Fight Them, O Muwahhid [Monotheist]", calling for attacks in Western countries.
In a press conference on December 26, 2021, the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen released two videos, one depicting an apparent UAV storage facility in Sana'a and the other showing a Lebanese Hizbullah operative advising and instructing Houthi fighters in the country.
The most recent issue of the Islamic State (ISIS) weekly Al-Naba' magazine (Issue 318), published on December 23, 2021, includes several reports, some of which are exclusive, about a series of recent attacks perpetrated by ISIS against Christian civilian and military targets in Congo, Mozambique, and for only the second time, in Tanzania as well.
On December 25, 2021, a new media service under the umbrella of the media arm of the Yemen-based Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), released a video arguing that the recent wave of attacks against Israelis in Jerusalem is a reaction to the Arab regimes' normalization of relations with Israel.
On December 28, an umbrella organization of Iran-backed militias in Iraq issued an announcement stating that the U.S. forces will never know peace and quiet in the country.
As 2021 comes to an end, Shi'ite militias continue to intensify their threats against the U.S. Embassy and U.S. forces in Iraq.
Iran-Backed Militias In Iraq Claim Seven Attacks On U.S. Convoys Carried Out In Just Two Days
On December 26 and 27, 2021, a number of Iran-backed militias in Iraq claimed responsibility on Telegram for several attacks carried out on those dates against U.S. convoys in the country.
On December 25, 2021, a Syrian opposition reported that on the same day a large "covered" truck entered Syrian territory through one of the border crossings manned by the Iran-backed militias.
On December 25, 2021, a Syrian opposition website posted what it alleged are "exclusive photos" of "the first artillery and heavy weapons training [course] held in the bases of Iranian militias."
On December 22, 2021, a Syrian pro-rebel news outlet, published an article on its website titled, "Official Document Confirms: Damascus in the Assad Era [has Transformed] from a Flourishing City to the Drug Capital."
On December 23, 2021, a Yemeni non-governmental research organization released a report quoting "a source close to Al-Qaeda" confirming that Iran-backed Ansar Allah aka the Houthis have released about 70 percent of the group's operatives in Yemen who were detained in prisons under their control, adding that talks are underway to release the rest.
The Haqqani Network has established a madrassa in Afghanistan's Paktia province and plans to open a network of branches in various provinces across the country.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (the Taliban jihadi organization) has been gradually filling the Afghan military institutions with its jihadi fighters. Several media reports describe the Taliban's recruitment and reorganization.
