On January 12, 2024 the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced, at 2:30 a.m. Sanaa time on the previous day, that CENTCOM forces had conducted joint strikes on targets of Yemen's Iran-backed Ansar Allah Movement (the Houthis), in coordination with Britain and with support from Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, and Bahrain, "to degrade [the Houthis'] capability to continue their illegal and reckless attacks on U.S. and international vessels and commercial shipping in the Red Sea."
The Islamic State in Iran released a statement on January 4, 2024, claiming responsibility for the January 3 twin blasts in the Iranian city of Kerman, saying the attack was part of ISIS's newly launched security campaign dubbed, "And Kill Them Wherever You Find Them."

On January 4, 2024, the Islamic State (ISIS) Al-Furqan media outlet released an audio message titled "And Kill Them Wherever You Find Them" (Quran 2:191), in which the organization's spokesman Abu Hudhayfah Al-Ansari declared support for the Muslims of Gaza, while discrediting Palestinian faction such as Hamas for their alliance with Iran and declaring that Palestine will only be truly liberated when it is governed in accordance with shari'a.

On January 4, 2024, Abu Murtaja Al-Husseini, spokesperson for the Iran-backed Iraqi Shi'ite Ashab Al-Kahf group, published a statement on Telegram in response to a same-day U.S. airstrike in eastern Baghdad which killed a senior official in the Iran-backed Iraqi Al-Nujaba Movement militia and the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), along with his aide.
