On June 2, 2021, the media arm of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Mali claimed responsibility for three attacks in Mali against French and UN forces. The media arm released the claim on Telegram and on the AQ-operated Rocket.Chat in Arabic and in English.
On July 6, 2021, a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq reported on an attempted drone attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad’s Green Zone, and two IED attacks on U.S. logistics convoys in Iraq.

On July 2, 2021, Telegram channels supporting the Iran-backed Shi'ite militias in Iraq posted a message relating to the alleged impact of this militia's announcement several days priori saying that it intends to target U.S. aircraft in Iraq.
