On November 7, 2022, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram channel shared a series of posts encouraging supporters to carry out violent and biological attacks at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament, set to take place in Qatar beginning on November 20, 2022.
On November 7, 2022, Reuters quoted Iraqi police sources in reporting that a U.S. citizen was killed in central Baghdad "after a failed attempt to kidnap him," during which "armed men in a vehicle opened fire at an SUV carrying the victim and shot him dead."

On November 9, 2022, London-based Arabic-language Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported that according to a German media outlet, an Iraqi Shi'ite armed militia had issued a press release on November 8, claiming responsibility for the murder of U.S. citizen Stephen Edward Troell in Baghdad's Karrada district on November 7, 2022.
On November 8, 2022, a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq shared a lengthy post discussing the killing of Stephen Troell, a U.S. citizen who was gunned down on November 7 in Karrada district, Baghdad.
On November 5, 2022, the official media outlet of Jaish ul-Adl, or Jaish Al-Adl ("Army of Justice"), a Salafi jihadi group which is linked to Al-Qaeda and operates mainly in the southeastern region of Iran, issued a statement in Farsi saying that the regime's "recurring" killing of defenseless protesters and human-rights activists in Baluchistan confirms the "urgent need" to turn to armed confrontation.
On November 8, 2022, the ISIS official A'maq News Agency issued a statement claiming that on November 6, the organization's fighters had killed a battalion commander in the Egyptian Army along with several members of "militias allied with him" in the Jalabanah area of northwestern Sinai.
On November 3, 2022, the ISIS released issue 363 of its weekly newsletter, Al-Naba', which included front page coverage of the group's October 31 attack on Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Mali, the Group Of Support For Islam and Muslims (GSIM).
Issue 363 of Al-Naba', the official weekly newsletter of the ISIS, contained an editorial titled "The Descendants of the [Prophet's] Companions in the Heart of Iran," which praised ISIS's fourth attack in the country and stressed the inevitability of war against Shi'ites in Iran and the region. It also stressed that ISIS's expansion of its "scope of jihad" has paved the way for Muslims to join jihad and champion their religion.
On November 5, 2022, ISIS's Central Africa Province (ISCAP) released a 20-minute video documenting the daily life of ISCAP operatives.
A lead article in the latest issue of "Voice of Khurasan" – the jihadi magazine published by Al-Azaim Foundation, the media arm of the Islamic State's Khurasan Province (ISIS-K) – describes Hamas in Palestine, Ikhwan-ul-Muslimeen (Muslim Brotherhood) of Egypt, Hizbullah of Lebanon, and the Taliban in Afghanistan as "scapegoats" of either America or Iran.
The cover story in the latest issue of the Voice of Khurasan magazine accuses Afghan Taliban of working in partnership with the CIA and Pakistani military's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to further their objectives in Afghanistan.
The latest issue "Khurasan Ghag [Voice of Khurasan]," the Pashtu-language magazine published by the media arm of the Islamic State's Khurasan Province (ISIS-K), describes the de facto Afghan Taliban government as "a drama written and directed by CIA and ISI," and says that "the CIA is leading an ideological war in the Islamic world and wants to make young Muslim generation unbeliever and secular."
Three Pro-ISIS Groups Announce Merger With Prominent Pro-ISIS Media Foundation
On November 8, 2022, three pro-ISIS media outlets announced they had merged with a larger prolific media outlet.
On November 8, 2022, a pro-Al-Qaeda outlet published a post on its Telegram channel announcing that a jihadi website affiliated with a prominent jihadi ideologue has been relaunched.
On November 7, 2022, the media arm of the Yemen-based Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) published a 26-minute video production by titled "Arrows of Truth," featuring a compilation of attacks on U.A.E.-backed Security Belt forces.
Al-Qaeda's Affiliate In Sahel Claims Responsibility For Recent Attacks On Malian, Burkinabe Forces
On November 5, 2022, the media arm of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in the Sahel, the Group for Support of Islam and Muslims (GSIM) – released a statement claiming responsibility for a November 3 ambush carried out by the group against the Malian Army in the country's southern Sikasso Region.
On November 5, 2022, the media arm of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in the African Sahel region, Jama'at Nusrat Al-Islam Wal-Muslimeen (Group for Support of Islam and Muslims – GSIM), released an 11-minute video. The video depicts two of the organization's suicide bombers who perpetrated a double suicide bombing at a Malian Armed Forces military base in the capital city of Bamako.
On November 5, 2022, the official media outlet of Al-Qaeda's Somalia-based affiliate, Harakat Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen (Al-Shabab), reported that one of its fighters had perpetrated a "martyrdom-seeking operation" targeting "hundreds" of Somali Special Forces at the General Dhagabadan Training Center (GDTC) on the southwestern outskirts of the capital, Mogadishu.
Member Of Pro-Al-Qaeda Forum Recommends 'Session' Messaging App, Claims Telegram Is No Longer Safe
On November 7, 2022, a user on the Al-Qaeda-operated Rocket.Chat server suggested switching from Telegram to a new platform named "Session" claiming that Telegram is no longer safe.
Between October 12-17, 2022, Syrian jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS), which is based in the country's Idlib Governorate, entered the northern Aleppo Governorate and captured large swaths of territory from the Third Legion of the Turkey-backed Syrian National Army (SNA). In the process, HTS took control of the city of Afrin and reached the outskirts of A'zaz, the administrative center of the SNA-linked Syrian Interim Government (SIG), before Turkey intervened on October 18 and imposed a ceasefire agreement.
Video From Syria-Based Kurdish Jihadi Group Reveals Military Training For Children
On November 6, 2022, the official media outlet of Ansar Al-Islam, a predominantly Kurdish Salafi-jihadi group that operates in northern Iraq and Syria, released a 14-minute video titled "The [Training] Camp of the Cubs." The video documents the military, physical fitness, and religious training received by the young sons of the group's members in Syria.
On November 5, 2022, the official Telegram account of Harakat Muhajireen Ahl-e-Sunnat Iran, an Iranian Sunni jihadi group aligned with Idlib-based Ha'yat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS), released a statement in Farsi titled "Baluchistan Is A Red Line," condemning the regime's "crimes" in Sistan and Baluchistan Province, in southeastern Iran.
Syrian Opposition Websites: Hizbullah Recruited Children Younger Than 15 In Syria
On November 7, 2022, a Syrian opposition website reported that in the preceding days, in the Damascus area, Hizbullah had recruited seven minors under the age of 15. This was after the children had visited the organization's center for the distribution of humanitarian aid.
According to an Urdu-language newspaper, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA, i.e., the Afghan Taliban) has turned down a U.S. offer of $3 billion in exchange for permission to build two airbases in northern Afghanistan.
