On October 10, 2022, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released a statement threatening Emirati forces in Yemen and warning Yemenis not to aid and abet them. Published via AQAP's media arm, the statement cast Emirati forces as being a "destructive" presence in Yemen that AQAP pledged to confront.
On October 11, 2022, the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (GSIM), Al-Qaeda's affiliate in the Sahel, released an infographic detailing operations it carried out during September 2022.
On October 12, 2022, Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Somalia, Harakat Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen (Al-Shabab), claimed "sweeping attacks" on three bases of the Somali Special Forces and government militias in Somalia's central Hiran region.

Hizb ut-Tahrir Al-Islami (Hizb ut-Tahrir), or "The Party of Islamic Liberation," is a transnational Islamist network that was founded by Palestinian Islamic scholar Taqi Al-Din Al-Nabhani in Jordanian-ruled Jerusalem in 1953, with the aim of reestablishing an Islamic caliphate that will rule all Muslim countries in accordance with shari'a law.
