On October 13, 2021, a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq released a poster threatening the special representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq.

On October 3, 2021, the Saudi Al-Arabiya website published a report on the Azerbaijani Islamic Resistance Movement – Hussainiyoun. The movement was, according to the report, founded by the late IRGC Qods Force commander Qasem Soleimani as part of the array of Shi'ite militias established by Iran in recent years in countries across the region.


Islamic State (ISIS) Claims Second Attack On Voting Station, Iraqi Forces Claim Capture Of 'ISIS Finance Chief'

On October 12, 2021, the Islamic State (ISIS) released a statement on Telegram claiming responsibility for an attack on a voting station in the Iraqi governorate of Kirkuk, on October 10, 2021.

 

Islamic State (ISIS) Claims Responsibility For Rocket Fired At Voting Station During Recent Iraqi Elections

On October 10, 2021 the Islamic State (ISIS) released a statement on one of its official Telegram channels claiming responsibility for firing a Grad rocket at a voting station in the city of Baiji, in the Iraqi Salah Al-Din Governorate.

 

Islamic State (ISIS) Claims Responsibility For IED Attack Inside Uganda Police Compound in Kampala

On October 8, 2021, the Islamic State Central Africa Province (ISCAP) issued a statement claiming that on October 7, an ISCAP "security detachment" detonated an IED inside a "Crusader" Uganda Police compound in the capital city of Kampala.

 

ISIS Releases Photo Of Red Cross Worker 'Captured' In Nigeria

On October 9, 2021, ISIS reported that its operatives had captured a Red Cross worker in Borno, Nigeria and seized his vehicle.

 

Islamic State (ISIS) Releases Video Featuring Attacks On Congolese Army Barracks In Northeastern DRC

On October 12, 2021, the Islamic State (ISIS) released a video featuring the aftermath of an attack by the group on a military barracks in the Ituri area of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

 

Pro-ISIS Media Releases Poster Inciting Attacks In Western Cities: 'Detonate, Oh Monotheist'

On October 12, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet released a poster inciting suicide bombing attacks against major landmarks in the West.

 

Pro-ISIS Poster Threatens Attacks Extending From Afghanistan To Europe And U.S.

On October 9, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet released a poster titled "From Khorasan Province [Afghanistan] to Washington." The poster claims that the Afghan Taliban will be unable to eliminate terrorism in Afghanistan and threatens the U.S. and its allies.

 

Pro-ISIS Indian Outlet Threatens Attacks Against Shi'ites

On October 5, 2021, an unofficial media group which is affiliated with the Islamic State in Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK), released a poster threatening to carry out attacks against Shi'ites.

 

Pro-ISIS Poster Urges Iraqis To Join Islamic State (ISIS), Asserts It Protects Innocent Muslims

On October 9, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet released a poster which urges Iraqi Sunnis to join ISIS, asserting that the organization makes efforts to avoid harming innocent Muslims and that anyone who does not join ISIS because he is afraid will be held accountable in the Hereafter.

 

Pro-ISIS British Preacher Announces Twitter Campaign Calling For Release Of Jihadi Cleric Sentenced To Life In U.S. Prison For Supporting Terrorism

On October 10, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) British preacher published a post on his Telegram channel announcing the launch of a Twitter campaign to call for the release of Mustafa Kamel Mustafa, also known as Abu Hamza Al-Masri, whom a U.S. court found guilty in 2014 of supporting terrorism.

 

Anti-ISIS Jihadis Condemn Attack On Shi'ite Mosque In Afghanistan: It Serves Iran, Harms Taliban, And Targeting Shi'ite Civilians Defies Shari'a

On October 8, 2021, a suicide bomber at a Shi'ite mosque in Kunduz, Afghanistan killed or wounded more than 100 worshippers during Friday prayers. Later that day, the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) claimed responsibility for the attack.

 

Brazil-Based Palestinian Video Game Developer, Creator Of Third-Person Shooter That Includes Suicide Bombing And May Be In Violation Of U.S. Anti-Terror Laws, Promotes Game On Steam, TikTok, And Twitter

A Brazil resident is scheduled to release a video game in which players stab, shoot, and shell IDF soldiers and vehicles, with the goal of liberating the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The man actively promotes his game on Steam, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube.

 

After Two-Month Hiatus, Al-Qaeda In The Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) Claims Responsibility For Attack On Houthi Forces

On October 10, 2021, the media arm of Al-Qaeda in the Arabia Peninsula (AQAP) released a statement claiming that on October 7, 2021, AQAP forces attacked a Houthi unit in Yemen and killed two Houthi operatives.

 

Al-Qaeda Somali Affiliate Al-Shabab Claims 14 Kenyan Soldiers Killed In IED Attack In Lamu County

On October 12, 2021, the news agency of the Somalia-based Al-Qaeda-affiliate Harakat Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen, or Al-Shabab, reported on its website that 14 Kenyan soldiers were killed in an IED attack carried out by Al-Shabab fighters in coastal Lamu County in Kenya.

 

Jihadi Clerics Eulogize Osama Bin Laden's Former Mufti, Musa Al-Qarni, Who Died In Saudi Prison

On October 12, 2021, several jihadis on Telegram reported that the "mufti of Osama bin Laden" had died in a Saudi prison.

 

On Telegram, Jihadis Accuse Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) Of 'Selling Out' ISIS Finance Chief To Iraqi Authorities

On October 11, 2021, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi announced the capture of a senior leader of the Islamic State (ISIS). Al-Kadhimi tweeted that the former deputy of the terror group and its head of finance, had been detained in a third country, which he declined to name.

On October 12, 2021, a Telegram channel affiliated with the Iran-backed militias in Iraq published a series of posts accusing the intelligence agencies of United Arab Emirates, the United States, Iraqi President Barham Salih, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi of plotting and falsifying the results of the October 10 parliamentary elections in Iraq.

 

Amid Losses For Iranian-Backed Groups, Hizbullah Brigades Military Commander Describes Iraqi Elections As 'Biggest Fraud' Against Iraqi People In Modern History, Urges PMU To Defend 'Their Sacred Entity'

Following reports of initial results from the October 10 parliamentary elections in Iraq, the military commander of an Iran-backed militia described the elections as the "biggest fraud and circumvention against the Iraqi people in modern history."

 

Hizbullah Announces Death Of Operative Accused Of Involvement In 1985 Hijacking of TWA Jet

On October 8, 2021, Hizbullah announced the death of "one of its loyal members," and wrote that, "The jihadi and resistance [axis] mourn his death." Atwi's funeral was held on October 9, at the Rawdat Al-Shahidayn cemetery in Dahiya, the Hizbullah stronghold in Beirut.

 

In South Waziristan, Shehryar Mehsud Group Joins Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)

In an October 6, 2021 statement, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman said that a group in South Waziristan had pledged allegiance to TTP's Emir.
