Kuwaiti sports commentator Mohammad Suheil said on a September 5, 2023 show on ATV (Kuwait) that Argentinian soccer player Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami FC is all part of a plan orchestrated by Marvel Studios to create a new Captain America. He said that Messi is acting out a "scripted" scenario according to which he becomes a superhero that brings a team from the bottom of the table to win all the titles.

Mohammad Suheil: "I believe that what is happening right now in America with Lionel Messi is a tightly woven scenario by Marvel Studios, whose [goal] is to crown Messi as the new Captain America – a superhero who took a team from the bottom of the table and will win all the titles."
