Senior IRGC Officials Threaten To Close Strait Of Hormuz, Hit U.S. Troops
In an interview with the Iranian news agency Fars, IRGC ground force commander Mohammad Jafar Assadi said that Iraq was a "big prison" for U.S. troops, and added that if Iran were to be attacked, the U.S. would not be able to withdraw its forces from Iraq and Afghanistan overnight. Iranian Daily: U.S., Israel – Iran's Hostages
In an editorial, the Iranian daily Kayhan, which is close to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stated that despite the threats by the U.S. and Israel that Iran can expect to be attacked at any minute, everyone knows "which side is a hostage and which side is in firing range in this convoluted game of chess."

Senior IRGC Official: Iran Arming With Advanced Ammunition
Mohammad Saharbaghi, commander of artillery and missile units in the land branch of the IRGC, said that IRGC forces are arming with smart ammunition "of the most advanced kind" and with cluster bombs capable of hitting small moving targets.
