Dear Friend of MEMRI,
We at MEMRI would like to express our appreciation for you, a loyal reader of MEMRI research. We know that you are aware of the critical importance of our work.
Please consider renewing your support for our groundbreaking projects and initiatives. Help us to continue to bridge the language gap between the Middle East, Iran, Turkey, South Asia, the Caucasus, Russia, and China and the West.
We recognize that you receive many end-of-year requests for support from nonprofit organizations, but we would be grateful if you could take the time to allow us to present our case for why we deserve your support in these difficult times.
If you have already donated – thank you. Your gift is being processed.
MEMRI research, with its significant intelligence value, is filling a major void, and is being used by governments and militaries. In MEMRI's 25th year, we again prove that we are on the cutting edge in this field.
As one of the world's most productive nonprofit think tanks focusing on the Middle East and South Asia and on threats to the U.S. and the West, MEMRI's extensive research output equals or surpasses that of similar organizations many times our size with many times our budget.
But our research and translation teams are stretched to the limit. There is so much more of this primary source material that MEMRI needs to monitor, translate, and distribute. We are appealing to you, our loyal readers, to help us hire more staff to monitor and translate more primary source content and distribute it to governments, legislatures, media, and readers like you.
Since Hamas terrorists launched their attack on Israel early on the morning of October 7, 2023, MEMRI teams at MEMRI headquarters in Washington, D.C., Jerusalem, and around the world, have been working 24/7 to bring you up-to-the minute translations from primary source materials, and original analysis. The translated MEMRI TV clips we released during this time have had over 80 million views.
In the days and weeks since October 7, we have published an unprecedented number – approaching 900 – of reports, clips, and analysis pieces. They include statements by the leadership of Hamas, Iran, and other Iran-backed organizations in the region; rereleases from the MEMRI and MEMRI TV archives of reports and clips that are relevant to today's war; reporting and opinions from the Arab media; and more. Also during this time, we have sent out over 280 emails of our research to subscribers.
We are experts in this – we have been exposing extremism, antisemitism, and jihadi threats for over 25 years. Nobody else is doing the work that we do.
FIRST EIGHT WEEKS OF THE WAR – 600 REPORTS AND CLIPS

EXPOSING STATEMENTS BY HAMAS LEADERS, THE HAMAS CHARTER, HAMAS'S CRYPTOCURRENCY FUNDRAISING, AND MORE
Every day, MEMRI is translating the words of top Hamas officials, exposing their words to the West – and these MEMRI TV clips are used by the U.S. and other Western governments as well as cited by media around the world. We also published our translation of the Hamas Charter, research on Hamas fundraising in cryptocurrency, and more.
In these difficult days, MEMRI is continuing to "bridge the language gap," providing governments, legislatures, law enforcement bodies, and academia, in the U.S. and across the West, with statements by Hamas and other Gaza terrorist organizations – what they themselves are saying. We are monitoring these sources and these important developments and reporting about them days before they appear in media elsewhere.
MEMRI staff – researchers, translators, editors, and technical and distribution teams – are working around the clock every single day. The work we are doing is exacting and exhausting, and producing this research is very costly. There is much to do, and we can only cover so much. We need your help today.
If you have already donated, we would like to thank you; donations can take several weeks to process.
With employer matching gift programs, you can double or even triple the impact of your donation to MEMRI. We have partnered with Double the Donation to make this matching gift process easier than ever. Visit our matching gift page here to see if your employer will match your donation."
As 2023 draws to a close, we are asking you today, as our reader, to help us continue our essential work. We cannot do this without you.
Please help us continue our crucial work.
Sincerely,
