MEMRI is honored to welcome the renowned Spanish economist, author, and commentator on political and economic world affairs Prof. Daniel Lacalle to the MEMRI Board of Advisors.
Prof. Lacalle, who holds a PhD in Economics, has given keynote speeches at the most prestigious forums globally, including the London School of Economics, World Economic Forum, Forecast Summit in Peru, Mining Show in Dubai, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), and many other venues. With more than 25 years of experience in the energy and finance sectors, including in North Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, he is currently a fund manager overseeing equities, bonds, and commodities. He is also a professor at the IE Business School and a member of the Academic Board of the Fundación Internacional para la Libertad, a foundation promoting democracy and personal liberties that is headed by Nobel Prize in Literature laureate Mario Vargas Llosa.
