Following are excerpts from an interview with Muhammad Dharar Jamo of the Arab League's Arab Expatriates Department, which aired on Al-Manar TV on August 10, 2011:
Muhammad Dharar Jamo: "The U.S. is pushing for a third world war in the region, in order to improve its economy. It is currently Syria's turn, but soon they will turn to Jordan, then to the Gulf states, and after that, to Turkey, in particular. Turkey is also at risk."
Interviewer: "The Turks say they are concerned about Kurdish infiltration into the Kurdish regions of Turkey, in order to justify the Turkish army's activity on the Syrian border."
Muhammad Dharar Jamo: "This is a worn-out pretext. Let me tell you, in all honesty, if any soldier or recruit from any army in the world enters Syria, we will chop off his arm. We cannot ignore such a thing. We are not living 400 years in the past. Even if the entire world says otherwise, we, the Syrian people, will form brigades of resistance, which will fight any occupier, or anyone who tries to set up a security zone, be it friend or foe. This is war." [...]
