On September 12, 2011, the Al-Qaeda media company Al-Sahab released a new one-hour audio message from its leader, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, followed by a previously unreleased five-minute video message from Osama bin Laden that was addressed to the American people. In his message, bin Laden says that in order to end the wars in which America is involved, the American people must realize the enormous influence that the Israeli lobby and the large corporations have over America's foreign policy, and stop supporting these bodies. Bin Laden's video appears to be the same video found during the raid on his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Both videos show bin Laden wearing a knitted cap and against a blue backdrop.
Al-Zawahiri's message is mostly dedicated to the uprisings in the Arab world, offering Al-Qaeda's support and advice to the Arab peoples who have revolted against their leaders.
