On November 12, 2009, jihadist websites posted a new release from Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen, the Al-Qaeda-allied jihadist movement in Somalia. The 22-minute video is titled "Wafts from the Winds of Victory," in reference to Al-Shabab's "Winds of Victory" military campaign, which took place during Ramadan 1430/2009.[1] The aim of the video is to put on display the fruits of Al-Shabab's recent military advances and the degree to which they control southern Somalia and the capital Mogadishu.
