Last month, an article about the popular protest movement still unfolding in the U.S. was published on a number of online jihadi and Arabic forums. The article, titled "The American Spring Revolution," was written by Sheikh Husam Abdul Ra'ouf (aka Abd Al-Hadi Mustafa). The content of the article itself is by no means revolutionary in the ideas it presents, however, much of the attention the article received can be attributed to its author.
Sheikh Abdul Ra'ouf is the editor-in-chief of the Taliban magazine Talae' Khurasan ("Vanguards of Khurasan"). He is described online as a member of Al-Qaeda's media strategy committee. Abdul Ra'ouf's articles can also be found on the Salafi jihadi website Minbar Al-Tawhid Wal-Jihad. ...
