Vice Chairman of Egypt's Al-Wafd Party Denies Holocaust

In an August 31, 2011 article in Al-Wafd, the daily of the Egyptian Al-Wafd party, the party's vice chairman, Ahmad 'Ezz Al-'Arab, presented translated excerpts from an article by Holocaust denier Jim Kirwan, and advised the readers to read Kirwan's other writings on the latter's website.

This is not the first time 'Ezz Al-'Arab has showcased Kirwan's writings. In an Al-Wafd article titled "The Jewish Holocaust – Between Fact and Fantasy," published August 14, 2009 and reprinted on November 6 of the same year, he presented another article by Kirwan denying the Holocaust.

Following are excerpts of both of 'Ezz Al-'Arab's articles citing Kirwan:[1]

Zionism Has Turned the Lie of the Jewish Holocaust into "A Sacred Cow"

In his August 31 article, titled "The Ramshackle American Democracy," 'Ezz Al-'Arab wrote: "The well-known American writer Jim Kirwan has an extensive website with hundreds or perhaps thousands of articles. Many of them are devoted to the issue of defending freedom in his country, America. [Kirwan] exposes the fabrications which the spurious [U.S.] media uses to distract the American people, as well as the lies circulated by the political pressure gangs, chiefly the Jewish organizations, the most prominent of which is the famous AIPAC...

"Kirwan has rare courage, considering that he lives in New York, the stronghold of international Zionism. Despite this, he does not hesitate to expose Zionist lies, chiefly the fable of the Jewish Holocaust, [namely] the Zionist claim that Hitler exterminated six million Jews. Zionism, which has repeated this lie time and again, managed to turn it into an unquestionable truth in the Western countries. [The Jewish Holocaust has become] a sacred cow to which sacrifices are offered, to the point where several Western countries have amended their penal code such that attempting to deny the Holocaust or even the number 6 million... is a crime punishable by law.

"On November 6, 2009, I published in Al-Wafd conclusive evidence refuting [the veracity of] the Holocaust, citing Jim Kirwan. Anyone interested should refer to the aforementioned article. In the current article, I am publishing excerpts from [another] article by Kirwan, dated June 3, 2009, titled 'Freedom under Fire,' in which he explains how the political pressure groups, chiefly AIPAC, scorn the freedom of the American citizen, with full support from the political elite gang that rules [the country], due to their common interests. Kirwan says:

"'Freedom as described under the U.S. Constitution has been under intensive fire since the Reagan-Revolution turned our individual freedoms and our right to challenge the government, into outdated and powerless claims that have finally become meaningless in the real world of 'The Risen-Fall of Justice'...

"'The Freedoms of Americans have now come under fire from two foreign groups that, if they have their way and are supported by congressional complicity: Will mean the end of the real freedoms that Americans always thought they had.

"'The first of the two groups is the American-Israeli Political Action Committee (AIPAC) that has taken control over the elective choices of congress and the government in general. This has allowed AIPAC to overwhelmingly determine and control national policies for the U.S., which are not in the best interests of the United States. The Chief of Staff for Obama is an Israeli-American; not an American-Israeli... it indicates which nation shall hold sway over the individual that claims the legal privileges of dual-citizenship.

"'No person that is not American should be part of the decision-making cabinet level offices in the U.S. government. This is not about discriminating against those people that are not Americans – it’s about being certain that the American government represents American citizens first. Americans need all the help they can get now, so why is so much of our money going to the still unfinished state of Israel; and how much of these decisions depends upon AIPAC’s illegal influence? Why are Obama’s White House staff and Cabinet over-represented by these quasi-affiliates of a foreign government?

"'Is this why all American political candidates for all the major posts in government must publicly bow to AIPAC, if they expect to be elected to anything? Pelosi, Hilary Clinton, Obama, Cheney, and Bush – virtually all of them and many more, routinely appear before AIPAC’s televised gatherings to renew the obscenity of their solemn pledge to "Israel-first!” How large a role has this publicly-held bias played in passing things like the U.S.A Patriot Acts, the National ID Card, and Thought-Crime Legislation.

"'All political organizations that represent foreign nations must register with the Department of State as representatives of a foreign power – except Israel. If AIPAC had to register as an agency of a foreign power, which it is, then their contributions to Senators, to congressional people, and to candidates for any national office would be just as illegal as it is for nations like China, or Russia, or any other foreign power that seeks to influence U.S. political life – except for Israel.

"'The second threat to American Freedom comes from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which is itself a borderline racist organization; rather than a defender against such racial policies, as they seem to decry.

"'The Anti-Defamation League Director for the Plains States Alan Potash, has just declared war against our First Amendment right to freedom of speech:

"'The bill, which was approved in the House last month, would equip local law enforcement officials with tools, training and resources to investigate and prosecute bias-motivated crimes.

"'Like acts of terrorism, hate crimes can hurt more than the individual victim. They can instill fear and insecurity within an entire community."

"'The Hate Crimes Prevention Act recently passed the Congress and is now on its way to the Senate, where it is likely to pass and signed by President Obama. The Anti-Defamation League has been at the forefront of promoting hate crime legislation, and openly advocates for their model anti-hate law…

"'On the ADL's website they state their mission is 'to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.' That sounds fair enough but the organization has gone out of its way to vilify anyone who disagrees with their political agenda. On a number of occasions as I have pointed out they have opposed the right to freedom of speech. The ADL has smeared as anti-semites, Professor John Mearsheimer for his book critical of the Israeli Lobby and former President Jimmy Carter for his book 'Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid'.

"'The ADL claims to be fighting the defamation of the Jewish people but they are doing a grave disservice to Jewish Americans who believe in liberty and freedom of speech by claiming to advocate on their behalf...

"'ADL was created to stop people from legitimately investigating historical events that involve the plight of Jews before, during, and after WWII, among other things. One of their key interests now has been ‘protecting’ the validity of events and numbers involved, in what the Nazi’s apparently did to the Jews, as well as to the other people they used and often killed, in a variety of ways during WWII.

"'While History tends to be written by the victors, it is not the sole property of any one people or nation; as the record of events in all cases has a direct effect upon how the people of today can come to realistic understandings’ of the past that should improve life for everyone, both now and in the future.

"'For far too long the Zionists in Israel have tried to dictate what others can think or write about, when it comes to events in the past... The same is true of the Zionist’s attempt to claim special status because they experienced a “Holocaust.” Many, many other peoples have occasionally experienced something comparable with what happened to the Jews and to others during the Second World War. Yet to this day none of those others have successfully prohibited scholars, archeologists and researchers from investigating the events of years and decades past – to determine what actually took place – except for the Zionists in Israel.

"'The various tribes of the Americas come to mind; and their near annihilation at the hands of their European conquerors. Their numbers of dead and dislocated, not to mention the efforts that were made to erase them from all of history were part of a four-hundred year record that is still being collected… What needs to be ended is the hate-speech being preached by the ADL...'"

'Ezz Al-'Arab, it should be noted, ignores the rest of the article, in which Kirwan turns his criticism to the U.S. government, which he claims has annulled its citizens' constitutional rights in order to prevent them from protesting against government policies. He concludes: "We will make do with this part of the article by the brave writer Jim Kirwan. I call on the reader to peruse his website, so that he can see the thousands of atrocities documented [there] which are taking place in America, the leader of the 'free world.'"[2]

Article Published Twice in 'Al-Wafd' Denies That Six Million Jews Were Killed in the Holocaust

In his August 14, 2009 article, 'Ezz Al-'Arab denied that six million Jews were killed in World War II. As in the above article, most of the text comprised excerpts from Kirwan, with several additions by 'Ezz Al-'Arab himself. The article read:

"In his early June speech at Cairo University, President Obama said that some six million Jews died in the Jewish Holocaust carried out by Hitler, and that anyone who denies this figure is an ignoramus and antisemite calling for hatred against the Jews... In the following article, I wish to challenge Obama's claims in this speech regarding the number of Holocaust victims, and to present him with conclusive evidence from recorded Western history, as published online on June 11 by the writer Jim Kirwan:

"'1. In 1939, there were nearly 15,700,000 Jews in the world. After the Second World War that number had risen to over 18,000,000 Jews. What this means is that of the 15,000,000 original Jews on the planet, 6,000,000 were gassed, leaving only some 9,000,000-plus. Then, the world Jewish population rebounded and doubled to over 18,000,000 in less than nine years...

"'2. From the Beginning, there was the SIX MILLION, of which 4,000,000 were gassed at Auschwitz. Then, in 1990 it was discovered that only 1.5 million were gassed at Auschwitz, a difference of 2.5 million less. But somehow the magical SIX MILLION remained...

"'3. At the same time, the director of the Auschwitz State Museum Dr. Franciszek Piper, announced that the so-called gas chamber there had been fabricated by the Soviets AFTER the war!'"

'Izz Al-'Arab comments that this served as "propaganda aimed to ensure that the world would remain preoccupied with the crimes of the Nazis and forget the atrocities committed by the Soviet Communists, so that [the latter] could swallow up as many European countries as possible. There is a video recording of Piper's announcement." He then continues with Kirwan's list:

"'4. But there's more. The International Red Cross reported that less than 300,000 internees of all nationalities in the German camps died of all causes, including old age. And of these, barely more than half were Jews. Most of these died in several typhoid epidemics caused by wartime conditions, which claimed many lives – including those of doctors, nurses and camp administrative personnel!

"'5. But even these deaths were too much for the German authorities. On December 8, 1942, Heinrich Himmler, chief commandant of all detention facilities, issued an order stating categorically: "The death rate in the camps must be reduced at all costs."

"'6. In all of German-occupied Europe there were 2.4 million Jews. After the war, 3.8 million Jews claimed "survivor" benefits from the German government...

"'7. ...According to The New York Times of Sunday, January 4, 1987, celebrated survivor Elie Wiesel recalled "the day the Soviets arrived at Auschwitz." Then, in a speech to the National Press Club in Washington D.C., reported by the Jewish Telegraph Agency on April 11, 1983, he had a different recollection. He noted that he was "one of the survivors liberated at Dachau by the U.S. Army" on April 15, 1945 – and thus became the only prisoner of war to hold the distinction of being liberated from two different camps in World War II!

"'8. Not to be outdone by The Weasel, famous "Nazi-hunter" Simon Wiesenthal died serenely at age 96, knowing that, according to BBC News, he had survived 12 – count 'em! – Nazi "death camps."

"'9. In 1948 a story appeared about a hapless Jewish girl who was done in by the Nazis. It was written with a ballpoint pen, something that did not appear on the market until after the war. It was called – "The Diary of Anne Frank"!

"'10. So where did this SIX MILLION business start? For that we must go back to one Ilya Ehrenburg, chief Soviet propagandist during the Second World War and later on to die in Israel, who coined the mystic number on Dec. 22, 1944 – BEFORE tens of thousands of Jewish internees, given the choice of staying to be "liberated" by the Communists or going with their German captors, did not hesitate to choose the latter option!...'"[3]
