Abolfazl Amouei, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Majles said that the steadfastness of the Islamic Republic would force the Biden administration to reexamine its policy towards Iran. He made these remarks in an interview that aired on Ofogh TV (Iran) on February 14, 2021. Amouei explained how the committee monitors Iran's implementation of the resolution to end voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol according to the Majles law.
Abolfazl Amouei: "Our monitoring of the [implementation] of the law for strategic measures include measures that follow the ending of the voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol – measures like the activation of the factory for uranium metal in Esfahan, or the installation of a 1,000 second generation centrifuges. These are measures that can be seen in the law. For the Majles, monitoring the implementation of the law it legislated is a serious manner.
